So first off, if you don't know Ryan and Julie (click here for engagement link), you are missing out major! They are really cool people and are so in love with each other.
They had dinner with us and shared a little bit about how they met at Frankenmuth Brewery (which is amazingly gorgeous by the way). So naturally, they decided to have their wedding there. It's also special because their first date was right down the street at the Main Street Tavern. Ryan and Julie are really passionate about the Brewery so their wedding had a lot of special moments throughout the entire day. Did I mention that the ladies went to a shooting range to "get all the nerves out?" Yea, that was awesome! I guess we should probably stop talking about it and just show you. Before we do- Ryan and Julie, you two are phenomenal people! Amanda and I were so privileged to be a part of your day. We wish you both a wonderful marriage and can't wait to visit you in Frankenmuth! Blessings!

This German tradition is known as the Sie Leben Hoch ("see laben ho"). The basic German translation is "they live high". You can see how they really do lift them high in the air. Ryan and Julie were lifted up in chairs up and down and then the traditional Sie Leben Hoch song was played and sung on the accordion. Not exactly sure why the baby bonnets get put on but I think it might mean that they are no longer children and are taking their first steps as husband and wife together, then celebrating at the end with a drink. Frankenmuth is full of awesome traditions like this one! What a great way to celebrate some of your first moments as husband and wife- you guys rock! I'm also glad no one was hurt. =)
Yet another reason I loved this wedding. Ryan had a great idea of taking some photos in one of Michigan's oldest beer cellars found in the basement of Frankenmuth Brewery. Blessings to you both and your family!
