Don't forget

In Search of Answers

While we conquer the day and breathe in the flavor,
Through harder times we're growing much older.
When we open our eyes and break the trend
Let's not forget the 8 years to date.

It was not long ago, almost a decade now today
That a force of mighty taking just took our breath away.
Devastation, demolition, praying hands and recognition,
Broken beaming, bent for battle, loss for words in search of answers

Thousands of people in many places, torn apart as terror rages
The eagle cries for the nest that's been shaken
An unbreakable thought was sorely mistaken
For a minor cognition, watered down ambition

Back to reality, life is hard
But times like these that touch our heart
Will bring us together forever in compassion
Love defeats the most violent assassins.

In remembrance of those who were affected by September 11th, 2001. My heart aches with you today...
